🇺🇸 HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY, INDIANA! 🇺🇸
President Biden Moves to Reclassify Cannabis
President Biden understands that no American should be in jail for simply using marijuana. That’s why a week ago he officially moved to reschedule cannabis as a Schedule III substance, which recognizes its capacity to provide medical benefits.
Simply put, it’s time for Indiana to end its complete prohibition. Jennifer McCormick will develop the well-regulated cannabis market Hoosiers want as our next governor.
Indiana Ranked Seventh Worst State for Mental Health Care
This month, Forbes ranked Indiana as the seventh worst state for mental health services and access. Too many Hoosiers suffer from being in a mental health desert, and aren’t able to access the care they need.
Recent policy in Indiana from the Republican supermajority is only making this crisis worse, and pushing medical professionals from our state. Dr. Valerie McCray is a mental health professional ready to expand access to services as Indiana’s next U.S. Senator.
Every Hoosier deserves access to the mental health care they need, and we need new leadership that will prioritize improving Hoosiers’ health.
Each week, the State Party will highlight key policy from Democrats at the Statehouse or across the state. Democrats deliver a better future for Hoosier families, and we urge you to share this information with your networks.
Rep. Frank Mrvan knows we must make strategic infrastructure investments to secure the strongest possible future. With that in mind, Frank has secured millions of dollars to bring back to NW Indiana for storm and wastewater improvements in cities and towns across the Region.
Frank will keep working hard to support Hoosier communities, and make sure they have what they need to thrive.
