INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Democratic Party released the following statement from Chairman Mike Schmuhl on Angie Nelson-Deuitch winning the election to become the next mayor of Michigan City:

“Michigan City chose a new path by electing councilwoman Angie Nelson-Deuitch as their next mayor. Angie understands that Michigan City is at a crossroads, and Angie is ready to make the most of Michigan City’s amazing opportunities coming in the next few years, including South Shore doubletracking and the city’s beautiful shoreline on Lake Michigan. We couldn’t be more excited for what the next four years will bring for Angie, her leadership, and the people of Michigan City.”
