INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Democratic Party Chairman John Zody issued the following statement in response to tonight’s final Senate debate between Joe Donnelly, Rep. Mike Braun and Lucy Brenton:

“Joe Donnelly won tonight’s debate because he delivered a clear message to Hoosiers, and Rep. Braun lost it because he proved again to voters they can’t trust him in Washington. On issue after issue, whether it’s his stance of taking away health care for 1.1 million Hoosiers with pre-existing conditions or supporting cuts to Medicare and Social Security, Rep. Braun showed he’d rather lie to voters or hide his positions that are out of step with Indiana. He lost tonight, and he’ll lose on Tuesday because he hasn’t figured out how to put Hoosiers before himself.”
