INDIANAPOLIS – Drew Anderson, communications director for the Indiana Democratic Party, released the following statement after the Indiana Republican Party appeared to endorse Donald Trump and his campaign for President of the United States.
“As prominent Republican leaders throw their support behind Donald Trump, Hoosiers want to know if Mike Pence, Todd Young, and Marlin Stutzman will also follow suit. However, look no further than the Indiana Republican Party who today appeared to show their support for the presidential frontrunner whose campaign rheortic is dangerous for our country. Aside from having zero understanding on how to foster diplomatic relationships, Donald Trump has attacked women, LGBT Americans, and other minorities important to the fabric of our nation. So now that it appears the state Republican Party has thrown their support behind Donald Trump – where do Mike Pence and Indiana’s elected delegation stand?”
