INDIANAPOLIS – Eric Holcomb is “quite proud” to run on a record that with one piece of legislation puts the health of women and their families in jeopardy. In fact, HEA 1337 was signed in a closed-door ceremony to the objection of many Hoosiers, including Statehouse Republicans.
The result? Thousands of Hoosiers came together to protest HEA 1337 as Indiana once again saw embarrassing news coverage from across the nation. All for this current administration to check another box off their out-of-touch ideological agenda.
“Eric Holcomb has put his ideological agenda first even as Hoosiers are working harder yet still falling behind the rest of the nation. But the worst part, HEA 1337 could place the health of women and the well-being of Hoosier families in jeopardy,” said Drew Anderson, Communications Director. “Hoosiers are fed up with the social agenda over the last four years, and they are ready for a governor who will get back to work to solve today’s issues facing their families. As history shows, that’s not Eric Holcomb.”

Holcomb dismissed the importance of HEA 1337, saying “there’s a lot of better issues out there.” In an interview with the Indianapolis Star editorial board, in response to a follow-up questions about HEA 1337, Holcomb said, “I mean, we’ve had six or seven questions right now on abortion, or this past bill.
