INDIANAPOLIS – When Congressman Messer was elected to Congress he traded his life in Indiana for the swamp and never looked back. Despite representing the 6th Congressional District, he and his family live in a Washington, D.C. suburb that’s one of the wealthiest zip codes in the country. His Indiana “residence” where he’s registered to vote is his mother’s home.
While living in McLean, Congressman Messer’s wife Jennifer has a “sweetheart deal” with the City of Fishers which pays her more than $20,000 a month in taxpayer money for part-time legal work, a higher salary than Fishers’ full-time staff attorneys.
