Without RGA’s $500k bailout, Mike Pence loses funding edge to John Gregg by 2-1 this quarter
INDIANAPOLIS – John Zody, Chairman of the Indiana Democratic Party, released the following statement after John Gregg outraised incumbent Gov. Mike Pence this quarter $1.8 million to $1.5 million. This is the second time Gregg has beat Pence in fundraising totals.
“Mike Pence’s RFRA and ideological political agenda are catching up to him as Hoosiers are flat out tired of his out-of-touch antics that have embarrassed the state and put Indiana’s coveted reputations in jeopardy. John Gregg has not just outraised Mike Pence, but if it weren’t for a $500,000 bailout by the RGA – the governor would be even further behind. And why? Look no further than Mike Pence’s record as governor. After signing RFRA, declining an $80 million Pre-K grant, and ignoring the growing wage gap for Hoosier workers (and more), Mike Pence has gone from presidential buzz to his re-election campaign being on life support. It’s clear Hoosiers know we can do better in Indiana by electing a new governor. That person is John Gregg.”
