INDIANAPOLIS – If Statehouse Republicans’ pronouncements on workforce development all sound a bit familiar, that’s because they are. Governor Eric Holcomb has largely recycled the same stale ideas that have left one million Hoosier workers behind. Don’t think so? Try and guess which Republican governor said the following on workforce initiatives.

Indiana Democratic Party Chairman John Zody questioned the lack of fresh ideas for an issue that impacts one million Hoosiers.
“After more than a decade of controlling the governor’s office, it sure seems like Indiana Republicans are getting a little too comfortable,” said Zody. “Why else would Governor Holcomb recycle the same tired ideas that haven’t and won’t solve Indiana’s workforce crisis? One million Hoosiers lack the skills they need to compete and your idea is more of the same? A caretaker governor won’t cut it, taxpayers want a leader with big, bold ideas. Anything less is a waste of time.”
