INDIANAPOLIS – After the Indiana U.S. Senate Debate Tuesday night, Indiana Democratic Party Chairman John Zody issued the following statement.
“Tonight underscored how dangerous and out of touch Congressman Todd Young’s vision is for Indiana, and how it threatens to tear down the progress we’ve made together. Congressman Young continues to put his own political ambition first at the expense of Hoosier seniors, students, and workers all while propping up his Washington special interests. From voting to take away seniors’ hard-earned Medicare and Social Security benefits, his plan to double student loan interest rates, and his derision for our auto workers, Congressman Young’s radical plans would be devastating for Hoosiers. Todd Young’s long history of putting his own self-interests ahead of Hoosiers proves he is wrong for Indiana. Evan Bayh not only won tonight’s debate, but he will win in November.”
