WATCH: “These Guys?”
Digital ad will target Indiana Statehouse during start of Indiana GOP’s extremist special session
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Democratic Party, the organization that advocates for the future of Indiana and its families, today announced a new digital ad buy to call out the Indiana Republican Party’s plans to pass a total abortion ban across the state. Starting on Monday, Hoosiers in and around the Indiana Statehouse will see a 15-second ad on their social media feeds – titled “These Guys?” – showing the politicians responsible for forcing people and children to give birth and endangering Hoosier lives in all 92 counties.
“Indiana Republicans are set to make women second-class citizens during the upcoming special session. They have shown Hoosiers that their top priority is not the economy or lowering costs or taxes – it’s violating privacy rights and standing between a woman and her doctor,” said Mike Schmuhl, Chairman of the Indiana Democratic Party. “A majority of Hoosiers trust women to make their own health care decisions, but a supermajority of politicians just doesn’t seem to care. They may take away the freedom of ‘choice’ during this session – but all Hoosiers have the choice to vote them out of office in November.”
Indiana Democrats have been fighting back against the Indiana GOP’s extremist agenda the moment the conservative U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last month. State Party leaders like Myla Eldridge, Destiny Wells, Tom McDermott, Maureen Bauer, Chris Campbell, Carolyn Jackson, Phil GiaQuinta, Linda Lawson, Ali Brown, and Kaitlin Moore drove more than 1,000 miles to to share how it’s past time politicians trust women and let them decide what’s best for their health care and their future.
Simply put: the Indiana GOP will ignore the will of voters and endanger women’s lives in order to fulfill their extreme agenda.
