INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita has launched a new website where he’s posting unverified, and often misleading information about Hoosier schools.
This website is also facing widespread condemnation from school leaders and educators. District administrators around the state said they received no notice of the site being launched and that the information listed is often false or outdated.
“Todd Rokita’s new website shows how far he’ll go to use the powers of big government to interfere with Hoosier public schools and do the political bidding of extremist groups,” said Indiana Democratic Party Chair Mike Schmuhl. “Our local schools deserve leaders in our state government who will work with them to improve education, not those like Rokita looking to score political points and divide communities with unverified, incomplete information.
“We have a growing and increasingly desperate teacher shortage, and the last thing Hoosier schools need is educators being targeted and harassed over misinformation. Together, we can make certain Todd Rokita is defeated this November and is only a one term attorney general. We need an attorney general that supports parents, schools, and educators, respects medical professionals, and builds a stronger state for all Hoosiers.”
