Senator Young claimed Democrats did not want to hold former President Trump accountable for inciting an insurrection against the United States — he lied
Young continues a pattern of calling for accountability — like the Indiana QAnon Party (INQOP) — without actually holding bad actors accountable
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Democratic Party, the organization that advocates for the future of Indiana and its families, today criticized U.S. Senator Todd Young for claiming Democrats told him to not hold former President Trump accountable for inciting an insurrection against the United States on January 6, which is categorically false.
Senator Young’s statement couldn’t be further from the truth, and the Indiana Democratic Party suggests that he leaves Democrats out of his mouth moving forward. In fact, we suggest the Senator hold the former president — and the Indiana QAnon Party — accountable for peddling misinformation and lies for years. But to do that, Young would have to take a look in the mirror.
This is what Todd Young claimed in a recent news report:
“I can tell you what I’m hearing from Hoosiers, Republicans, Democrats, and I’m hearing it from other Americans as well. I’m hearing that President Trump is is now a private citizen. There are other avenues for those who want to hold him to certain charges. Moreover, because of the extraordinary time period we’re in, I really don’t want to spend a lot of time on this.” – U.S. Senator Todd Young
Here’s just a sample of what Hoosier Democrats had to say the moment the INDems published the Senator’s statement online:
