INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Democratic Party released the following statement from Chairman Mike Schmuhl on Stephanie Terry’s victory in the Evansville mayoral election:

“Stephanie Terry has made history tonight in Evansville, and the city has elected a dynamic new leader. Stephanie built her career on service to the city and its people as a county councilwoman, small business owner, and community leader. Stephanie will be Evansville’s first female mayor and the city’s first African-American mayor. As mayor, she’ll work for everyone, and continue the vital work of taking Evansville to new heights. On behalf of our whole party, I give our congratulations to Stephanie and her team on this thrilling victory.”
