In 2022, President Biden and Hoosier Democrats built the economy from the bottom up and middle out, while the Indiana GOP put their special interests first
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Democratic Party, the organization that advocates for the future of Indiana and its families, today celebrated the historic year Democrats had delivering for the Hoosier families. In addition to strengthening the economy and overseeing historic job creation, President Joe Biden and Democrats like André Carson and Frank Mrvan delivered big legislative wins, including the Inflation Reduction Act, CHIPS and Science Act, PACT Act, Emmett Till Antilynching Act, Postal Service Reform Act, Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, Violence Against Women Act Reauthorization, and the Respect for Marriage Act – all landmark achievements that create a better future families across Indiana.
As for the Indiana GOP, they did little to fix the state’s dismal quality-of-life, workforce, education, maternal mortality rate, and pollution rankings. Instead, Republicans time and again put their special interests and extremist agenda ahead of Hoosier families. This includes disrespecting law enforcement, putting more firearms on the streets, politicizing classrooms, and bullying our innocent children.
“As we close out 2022, Hoosiers and Americans across the country are feeling the effects of President Biden and Democrats’ economic plan, which has helped generate historic job growth, lower everyday costs, and bring manufacturing back home. While Republicans focused their energy on divisive and extreme special interests, President Biden and Democrats actually governed, and working people are better off because of it,” said Mike Schmuhl, Chairman of the Indiana Democratic Party
