Green: “I’m Exhibit A as a rejection of the notion that CRT is a thought process that’s worth continuing to provide to our K-12 children.”
Critical race theory isn’t taught in Indiana, Holcomb Administration sets education curriculum for state education system
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Democratic Party, the organization that advocates for the future of Indiana and its families, today criticized Jennifer-Ruth Green for claiming critical race theory (CRT) is being taught in Indiana’s K-12 schools – despite the subject not being taught in schools at all. Green’s lies occurred during a Fox News interview last week, and the Indiana Republican continued to push misinformation that’s been debunked by teachers and news outlets throughout the state.
Ironically, Jennifer-Ruth Green’s partisan lie was also a direct criticism of Governor Eric Holcomb and Indiana Republicans in state government who have controlled the state’s education curriculum for years.
In contrast, Congressman Frank Mrvan has delivered a better future in Northwest Indiana. Thanks to the American Rescue Plan, Mrvan helped fund the state’s public schools at levels not seen since the Great Recession. The Congressman also delivered a much-needed pay raise for educators. By delivering those simple kitchen table issues, Indiana Democrats will improve the Indiana Republican Party’s D+ rated education system. Democrats will tout the American Rescue Plan across Indiana ahead of the 2022 election year.
As for the Indiana GOP: no plans – just empty buzzwords and partisanship.
