INDIANAPOLIS – John Zody, Chairman of the Indiana Democratic Party, released the following statement after the conclusion of tonight’s Republican debate between Marlin Stutzman and Todd Young.

“Marlin Stutzman has proven one thing to Hoosiers in tonight’s debate – he will stick to his out-of-touch ideology 100% of the time, no exceptions. While in the U.S. House, Stutzman was a leading proponent for the government shutdown even though he hadn’t a clue what he wanted from it. Stutzman supports Mike Pence’s RFRA, which threw Indiana into a $250 million economic panic. Indiana deserves someone in the U.S. Senate that will use commonsense to unite the nation and help lead everyday Hoosiers into the future. This is not Marlin Stutzman, an ideologue who is a near clone of Mike Pence.”
