INDIANAPOLIS – John Zody, Chairman of the Indiana Democratic Party, released the following statement following the vice presidential debate between Indiana Gov. Mike Pence and U.S. Senator Tim Kaine.

“Tonight, Mike Pence tried to come off like he understand the issues facing Americans  – but on substance, he’s just like his boss Donald Trump. As Indiana’s governor, Mike Pence has Hoosiers working more for less while he prioritizes an ideological agenda that discriminates against the LGBT community and puts women’s health in jeopardy. Donald Trump’s choice of Mike Pence as his running mate is one more example on a very long list of poor decisions he’s made in this campaign. Trump picked a governor who was desperate to abandon what would have been a losing reelection bid, and who was willing to say or do anything to keep his career alive.”
