Report: President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is Delivering in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS – One year ago today, Democrats like André Carson and Frank Mrvan delivered what Indiana Republicans never could: a once-in-a-generation investment in our nation’s roads, bridges, railroads, ports, airports, water systems, and high-speed internet via the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (The Jobs Act). 

Indiana Democratic Party Chairman Mike Schmuhl released the following statement on this one year anniversary of President Biden signing the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill into law: 

“While Indiana Republicans talked a big game about infrastructure on the campaign trail, they ultimately failed. Instead, Democratic leaders like André Carson and Frank Mrvan have delivered an infrastructure decade – no thanks to any elected official in the Indiana Republican Party. 

From Fort Wayne and Indianapolis to Tell City along the Ohio River and Northwest Indiana, Hoosiers are already starting to see progress on delivering safer roads, bridges, and drinking water, more affordable and accessible high-speed internet, good-paying jobs, and more — all because Democrats put the kitchen-table issues – not partisan agendas – first.” 

While Democrats’ leadership made The Jobs Act possible, every single Republican in Indiana’s Congressional Delegation voted against the law. Republicans put their extremist agenda ahead of creating a brighter future for the Crossroads of America.
