INDIANAPOLIS – Young has said Social Security is a “Ponzi Scheme.” Stutzman (and Young too) voted against protecting Social Security during a government shutdown.
Both Congressmen have proven one thing – they are willing to use Social Security has a pawn to fit their out-of-touch ideological battles in Washington.
“On Social Security, Todd Young and Marlin Stutzman talk through both sides of their mouths. They claimed they will protect Social Security benefits but then turn around and voted for massive cuts and used the program as a pawn to wage ideological battles in Washington,” said Drew Anderson, communications director. “But that’s Marlin Stutzman and Todd Young for you. Young called Social Security a ‘Ponzi Scheme’ and both Congressmen voting against protecting the Social Security program during the 2013 government shutdown. We can do better.”
