IDP: RFRA’s repercussions aren’t over, it’s only beginning
INDIANAPOLIS – As he continues to “study” LGBT rights for Hoosiers, Governor Mike Pence yesterday doubled-down on his belief that he has “calmed the waters” after he signed RFRA and threw the Hoosier economy into a $250 million economic panic. But don’t take our word for it, check out his delusional statement yourself below.
WATCH: Mike Pence says he has “calmed the waters” following RFRA
“Mike Pence is delusional if he firmly believes the repercussions of RFRA are over – it’s only beginning. After Pence threw the state into a $250 million economic panic this spring, Indiana’s business community, a majority of Hoosiers, and even the media are now calling on the governor to approve across the board protections for the LGBT community,” said Drew Anderson, communications director for the Indiana Democratic Party. “But where’s Mike Pence? It’s been 147 days, and he’s still ‘studying’ the commonsense idea of restoring the ‘Hoosier Hospitality’ reputation that he put in jeopardy. Everyday Hoosiers, including many small business owners, are tired of Mike Pence putting his ideology ahead of their overall well-being. We can do better, and it begins by electing John Gregg as governor in 2016.”
