INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Democratic Party Chairman John Zody released the following statement after House Republicans pulled their controversial health care legislation from a floor vote this afternoon.
“Millions of Americans and thousands of Hoosiers know what’s at stake and have contacted their lawmakers to voice their opposition. It’s worked. Todd Rokita, Susan Brooks and Luke Messer are now at a critical juncture. They can stay the course, side with special interests, the wealthy and insurance company CEOs and support this bill. Or they can take a step back and ensure Hoosiers maintain critical access to care. It’s their choice – because right now it seems they can’t keep promises they’ve made just to win elections. Hoosiers are watching.”
