College Democrats of Indiana
The College Democrats of Indiana caucus (CDIN) serves as the official college student wing of the Indiana Democratic Party. We work to further progressive policies in Indiana and support the advancement of the Democratic party on campuses across the state. Any student attending a public or private university in Indiana can be a member of the College Democrats.
Indiana Democrat African American Caucus
The Indiana Democrat African American Caucus is charged with the creation and implementation of political and educational programs that empower African Americans to be primary stakeholders in the Democratic Party. The organization, founded in 1972, promotes active participation of African Americans in local, state, and national levels of the Democratic process, supporting the rights of the African Americans to play an integral role in governmental and political leadership.
Indiana Latino Democratic Caucus
The mission of the Indiana Latino Democratic Caucus (INLDC) is to encourage and facilitate the active participation of Latinos in democratic processes. All people, regardless of their ethnicity, are welcome in the INLDC. INLDC is steeped in voter engagement and provides a voice to Latino Hoosiers within the Democratic Party’s organizational structure and beyond.
Indiana Stonewall Democrats
Indiana Stonewall Democrats are LGBTQ+ Hoosiers and allies committed to ensuring full equality for our community by supporting candidates that prove themselves allies and legislation that improves the lives of all Hoosiers. Members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies (those not a member of the community but whom support LGBTQ+ individuals) may join the Indiana Stonewall Democrats.
Indiana Young Democrats
Indiana Young Democrats (IYD) is the premier youth-led grassroots political organization in the state of Indiana. As the official youth caucus of the Indiana Democratic Party, IYD is a voting member of the Indiana State Central Committee. IYD is a state PAC that mobilizes young people between the ages of 18 and 35 to participate in the electoral process, influence elections, promote the ideals of the Democratic Party and develop the skills of the youth generation to serve as leaders on local, state, and national levels. There are several local IYD chapters across the state and membership is open to all Indiana Democrats age 14-35.
Labor Caucus of the Indiana Democratic Party
The Labor Caucus of the Indiana Democratic Party (LCIDP) is dedicated to the proposition that all honest work is honorable and should be treated with dignity and respect. Membership in the Labor Caucus of the Indiana Democratic Party shall be open to all union members, union retirees, associate members, and staff employed by unions who are Democrats in good standing.
Indiana Federation of Democratic Women
The IFDW is the structure that unifies and represents the diverse Democratic Women’s organizations in Indiana. As Members, each individual and/or organization is self-governing and autonomous under this structure. This collaboration assists in sharing of ideas and resources to best represent our Women and lend strength to our voice and presence in Indiana’s Democratic Party. The coalitions created will serve in many areas of interest to fulfill our common goals and yield the best results to the benefit our Women. We have established By-Laws to manage our unity which is Membership governed. We are also affiliated with the National Federation of Democratic Women.
